Rybolovlev’s defense confirms charge filed by Monaco

MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- The defense of Russian tycoon Dmitry Rybolovlev on Thursday confirmed that the police of Monaco had filed a charge against the businessman.

“We confirm that the charge has been filed as it was announced by the Prosecutor General,” the defense said and added that at the current stage of the case Rybolovlev is deemed innocent.

The defense also said that so far there is no talk about charges which may be used as a ground for a court process and that the businessman may travel freely, but is prohibited to meet with other participants of the case.

Rybolovlev’s representative told PRIME that he was released under condition of judicial control, but not on bail or on pledge not to leave the country.

On Tuesday, the police of Monaco detained Rybolovlev and top local judicial officials for questioning as part of investigation into corruption and influence peddling.
